Last night heavy rain came through Dickenson. Everything was wet this morning except the inside of our tent. The storm brought cool weather (50s) last night and wind. Today's ride was only 40 miles but it felt a lot longer with the 16 mph winds out of the northwest. Overcast skies and light rain at times made for a chilly ride. The landscape is getting more hilly with foothills appearing on both sides of our route. Something to note is the street numbers which have 1/2 as part of the number. Maybe they added new roads and had to squeeze them between two existing numbered roads? On the way to camp we passed Medora which looks like a tourist town. We will explore it more tomorrow on our layover day. The camp is surrounded by foothills and has large campsites. The bathrooms and showers are nice and there is even a laundry area. One slight drawback is the amazing number of grasshoppers everywhere you go. Tonight we are going to a country and western show near Teddy Roosevelt park.
