This morning we started on a 60 mile ride with 10 mph winds. As the day went on the wind grew to 18 mph with 23 mph gusts. The forecast predicted ever increasing winds into the afternoon. Our leader had trouble driving the van and trailer due to the wind. He offered to pick us up along the way so we could avoid 20 miles of highway or gravel roads near camp. A handful of us took him up on the offer. The Glen Ullin park has primitive bathrooms. It is nice and spacious and includes an archery range with interesting targets. We are now one month from our September 11 finish, less than 1,500 miles left. Tomorrow we enter the badlands of North Dakota.
