Today was another cold and rainy day. Laura had been wanting to get our laundry done and now seemed like the perfect opportunity. We found a local laundramat in downtown Seward. Also in downtown Seward is the Alsaka Sealife Center. We saw many birds including Laura's favorite, the Puffin. Both the Horned Puffin and Tufted Puffin were in the center's aviary. The center also had Stellar sea lions, all types of salmon and other sea life.Later in the afternoon the rain let up so we decided to hike up to Exit Galcier. Even though it was cloudy we were able to view the galcier and surrounding mountains. There were signs with numbers at various places along the hike. We found that the signs designated the year where the galcier stood. It gave us a sense of how far the glacier retreated over the years. Tomorrow we drive to Homer.
