Today was Memorial day and a day at sea. The morning started out mostly cloudy and then turned sunny. Most of the day the ship sailed through a narrow passage. The speed of the ship and the height of the waves made for a somewhat choppy ride. Walking down the hall turned into staggering and even some of the crew were showing signs of seasickness. Luckily Laura and I managed well. There were many activities that we were able to enjoy. We started with Father Roman and the daily Mass. Laura went to a spa presentation that covered various treatments then we went to a presentation on Speeding up your Metabolism which was really a detox your liver seminar. The presentation made us think twice about what bad foods we are consuming. However, It did not deter us from hitting the lunch buffet. In the afternoon we attended When and Where to Spot Wildlife and How to Use your Binoculars ( a pair of binoculars are supplied with every cabin). After dinner we attended the captain’s staff introduction followed by an hour of modern dance entertainment. Tomorrow we see Ketchikan and go on our first excursion.
