Today was a sunny day with highs in the mid 60s.  Sunset this time of year is around 11:30 pm and sunrise is about 4:30 am.  In between is twilight so it never gets really dark.  Anchorage to Seward is about 125 miles so we broke up the drive by stopping at several view points.  The first was Flattop mountain.  We dedcied to hike the Blueberry Loop trail in Chugach Park.  The trail turned out to be more challenging than we thought.  Farther up the mountain the trail turned to mud and then snow and ice.  Laura picked up a stick to help her navigate through the snow and fortunately, as the trail levelled off, the surface turned back to dirt and rock.  The climb was worth it as the views were grand.  Our next stop was Potter Marsh,  There we saw Eagles, a Magpie and several tree swallows.  The tree swallows are not scared easily so they let us get close enough to take a good picture. The dandelions are in bloom here and they are everywhere.  Alaskans have given up on killing them as they would rather let the bears and moose eat them. We then proceeded to Beluga Point but the Belugas did not cooperate.  We did see one mountain goat in the far distance.  After a brief stop in Girdwood, to see the hotel, we drove in to Seward and the Exit Galcier Hotel.  We drove into downtown Seward to see the harbor and catch dinner at a mexican restaurant.  Bad weather is on the horizon as rain and temperatures in the 40s are forecast
