Today we walked through Juneau and enjoyed another day of perfect weather. We stopped at many of the statues and attractions in the city. The first statue honored a beloved dog, Patsy Ann. She was deaf but loved getting around town by herself and endeared herself to many visitors. There was another statue honoring the miners who risked their life and worked hard to mine gold in the surrounding areas. St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church was another stop. A beautiful little church with a long history in Juneau. Since Juneau is the state capitol, we had to see the capitol building, at least from the outside. Without a dome it looks like and an average 6 story office building. The Juneau Douglas City Museum had interesting details about Alaska becoming a state and displayed native Alaskan artifacts. After a little shopping, we returned to the ship and enjoyed hanging out on our balcony. Our evening was spent at the piano bar, which is fast becoming our favorite evening activity. Tomorrow is our last port of call of the cruise.
