July 14, Camp Timberlake, Huntington, Indiana

 Today we left Ohio and entered Indiana, our 7th state of the ride.  We took pictures of a Welcome to Ohio sign since we couldn't find one the day we actually entered.  Likewise we did not see a Welcome to Indiana sign.  Maybe we will see one when we cross into Illinois and look backwards..  The day was hot (85 degrees) and sunny.  From the start we had a stiff 10 mph wind in our face which made it feel longer than the 66 mile route.  We traveled mostly country roads surrounded by corn and soybean fields. We took a lunch break in Monroeville, a small quaint town.  A man there offered us free overnight lodging but of course we already had reservations.  Laura was really challenged by the wind but did not complain, although I am sure she wanted to.  There were a few surprise hills just before entering camp that we did not appreciate.  Camp Timberlake also has zip lining as an activity.  We had people zipping over our heads as we set up.  On a positive note, our Amazon order did show up on time.  We now have a new tent to use as a back up since our present tent has compromised poles and has suffered a few holes along the way.  We are looking forward to our layover day tomorrow.  We are in need of a rest and laundry day.
