No more chilly days in Chile. Today was sunny with highs in the 60s. Tomorrow our last port, Valparaiso, is predicted to have a high of 84. It makes us miss The Villages' weather. Our sailing in the ocean was relatively calm. Magellan named this ocean "Pacific" which translates to peaceful. It was really that today. After having the promenade deck closed the past couple of days due to weather we were eager to get some walking in. We walked about two miles after breakfast then attended a lecture on the history of Copper. Chile is the world's largest copper producer by far. Copper is one of the reasons that Chile has a prosperous economy.
One note about our ship is that the public bathrooms have individual wash cloths to dry your hands after washing. Then by the door there are paper towels with a sign saying to take a paper towel and use it to open the door to exit. That way you don't pick up any germs on the way out.
Later in the day we attended our last port talk. We will tour museums and shops in Valparaiso.
As usual we stopped by the Explorer's lounge to hear King, our guitar entertainer. Laura attended a show by Cristian Berrondo, the saxophone entertainer.
Tomorrow will be our last full day aboard the Viking Jupiter. We did the bulk of our packing tonight since we need to have our luggage ready by 10 pm tomorrow night.

Fantastic it is calm enough to have a walk on deck and warmer temperatures. This trip, altho loaded, went by fast. Know you last days will be wonderful.
