Coast of Chile, Dec 11 2025

Today was a day at sea.  We sailed through Fjords and saw the Amalia Glacier.  It was pretty cloudy and rainy so we did not get a good look at the glacier.  All in all, it was a chilly day in Chile.

After breakfast we went to the main pool and spa on deck 7.  It is a large and bright area as opposed to the other spa on deck 1 that has no windows.  We attended a lecture on what caused the ice age which is really a series of ice ages in the ice house climate on earth.  There were also green house periods of time on earth.  Interestingly there is a complex set of circumstances that affect the climate including the wobble of the earth's axis, changing of the orbit around the sun and the gravitational pull of other planets especially Jupiter.

Before dinner we enjoyed listening to the same  guitarist and strings duet as last night.  We also saw a different show starring Cristian Berrando, a saxophone player from Buenos Aries.  Tonight we move out of the fjords and into the open ocean.  The captain warned us about heavy seas coming tonight and tomorrow until we can again move back into the protection of the fjords.

🤪just lost my comment.
Ha...after biking & camping in all conditions, a test of your sea legs can be exciting letting you know that you really are on the water. Rocked to sleep too. Private-ish pool, nice...Laura our water child.
Sweet dreams🎂💤
