One of the more enjoyable days of our tour. It was a long one at over 70 miles and a stiff wind in the last 10 miles made it even tougher. We left Republic and rode through Okanogan National Forest and started a 20 mile climb which took us over Wauconda Pass at 4,310 ft. The descent was about 10 miles with a 5% grade which made for an exciting downhill and some spectacular views. We also passed through The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. We are camping at the Carl Precht Memorial RV Park. It is also the site of a stampede race, on horseback, that cones down a steep hill, crosses a river and ends up in a stadium.
