Today is our 40th wedding anniversary. We feel blessed that we can celebrate it in such a memorable way. After a night of solid rain, the weather cooperated and let us breakdown camp without rain, just damp air. This 70 mile day had one 4 mile climb with steep sections. Laura handled it beautifully without having to walk any of it. We also stopped for a short hike to see Crystal Falls. We traveled on Highway 20, the road that has been closed at times for wildfires. Over the next few days we will still be at risk of a detour as the fires are not fully contained. We are now just one week away from reaching our end point in Anacortes.
