Sept 1, Day 79, Farbridge Hotel, Sandpoint, ID

Another scenic day with incredible weather.  We crossed into Idaho, the 14th state of this tour.   The ride was tough since a lot of it was on highway 200, a two lane, 70 mph road with little or no shoulder at times.  As much as we are on similar roads we still don't feel comfortable with cars and trucks buzzing by us at high speed.  Luckily we were able to bike on a side road for about 15 miles.  Our group has decided to stick with our planned route for the rest of the tour.  Route 20 in the Cascades is now open.  We will risk getting stopped by the wildfires if they get out of hand again.  Tomorrow is a layover day so we can enjoy what Sandpoint has to offer.
