Today was a cloudy day that got more rainy as the day went on. We started out by crossing the river into Vermont, our third state. Another hilly day but only 28 miles and about 2,500 feet of elevation. We passed through the lovely town of Thetford. It is relatively near Dartmouth and the former home of my dear friend Rich Reardon. About 10 miles out I suffered my third flat of the trip. Again my rear tire was punctured from the inside. At Henderson's Hideaway we were happy to find a tent canopy still up from a wedding two weeks ago. It gave us great refuge from the pouring rain. Between clouds we were able to wash in the White river which runs beside the camp. Downside to camp is no water, no electric and only one port-a-potty for the whole camp. 70 degree temps made it a comfortable afternoon overall.
