Today's ride was a tale of two routes. It was only 40 plus miles but the first half was the climb to Kancamangus Pass followed by a long descent into Woodstock, NH. The weather was near perfect and Laura handled the climb like a pro. Although tempted she resisted the urge to get off and walk and biked the entire climb. Tomorrow is our first layover day, so we will enjoy the comfort of sleeping inside Notch Hostel. We met several Applachain trail through hikers. They started in March in Georgia and heading to Katadin, the other end of the AT. At completion they would have hiked 2,190 miles.
