Flew in to Bar Harbor yesterday. We saw smoke from the Canada fires. Rain removed smoke from the air so it was fresh and pleasant. This morning we picked up our bikes and gave them a test ride. We took advantage of low tide and made the walk over to Bar Island. We met Doug and Chris, a wonderful couple, at the end of the trail who took pictures of us. They have been on the road in an RV for 8 years! Amazingly they will be on the west coast around the same time we end our ride on September 11. We may even see them there. After our walk we enjoyed a lobster lunch at C-Ray's restaurant then we drove through Acadia National Park and stopped at many of the tourist spots. There were beautiful views of the water. We plan to bike the carriage trails and maybe even Cadillac Mountain in the next few days.
