This morning we left Primosten and set sail for Vodice on the island of Murter. When we arrived in Vodice we immediately took notice of a large concrete artwork near the dock. The artwork is called The Monument of Fallen Soldiers. It honors the soldiers who took part in the Liberation Battle against fascism from 1941 to 1945. Our morning ride was about 25 km and took us through the towns of Tribunj, Tisno, and Betina to the city of Murter (same name as the island). We boarded the ship for lunch and sailed to Tkon on the island of Pasman. Our afternoon ride (about 50 km) started there and went the full lenght of Pasman across a bridge connecting to the island of Ugljan. We paused on the bridge to absorb the great view of both islands and watched as sail boats sailed under the bridge. We then continued on to the ferry city of Preko where the YOLO met us. We will overnight in Preko and ride to Kukuljice tomorrow and then sail to Zadar.
This evening we were treated to a wine tasting event while dining on Tuna tar tare and Beef tar tare. We tasted three rare Croatian wines that are no longer available for sale. We are not wine enthusiasts but we really enjoyed the presentation and listening about how these wines were made.
