Today we arrived in Trogir, Croatia. It was a tiring, 24 hours of traveling. We flew out of Orlando, connected in Boston, then to Amsterdam and finally to Split Airport. In Orlando, Laura got to use one of the perks from her new travel credit card which allowed us to stay in Club MCO, a lounge that has food and comfortable seating options for travelers. That perk didn't work out so well in Boston where the lounge was being renovated and the Delta Sky Lounge didn't honor the Chase Saphire Reserve card. We had to spend several hours sitting in the regualr public seating. To connect in Amsterdam we had to walk about 20 minutes to the other side of the airport and then take a shuttle to terminal E and had to take a second shuttle to actually board the plane. We were happy to finally touchdown in Split Airport only to find that our cell phones did not work as planned. It took about half an hour for us to figure how to make them connect without a recording telling us that the numbers we were calling were not valid. All in all we calculated that we had totaled about 23 hours of travel since the time the shuttle driver picked us up in front of our home.
Even though we were exhausted we ventured out to walk through Old Town Trogir. Old Town is a wonderful maze of alley ways (too narrow for cars) between stone buildings that take you an incredible number of shops, restaurants and bars. Our biggest surprise of our walk was to find an abundance of palm trees all over town. Also the area was bustling with people and we found out that today is their Labor Day holiday. Tomorrow we will further explore the area but now we need some rest to adjust for the 6 hour time difference.

We're in Croatia!! Yeah! The blue water, red roof tops, palms too. The ally untilized...small, pristine, ac units overhead, signage, so interesting. Yes, lounges are nice when in between flights. Most grateful to be along on your travels. Biggest Hugs filled with love.
