- Today we did not venture far from our campground but we had a lot of fun. This morning we drove about a mile to Riverside Canoe trips and rented two kayaks. We kayaked the Platte River for about 3 hours. We then made our way to a nearby beach on Lake Michigan. The water was beautiful and the breeze made it more than comfortable to sit in the sun. This evening we drove to the town of Honor where we enjoyed some local pizza. Tomorrow we hit the road and head for home.
